Review of Give 'em Hell, Malone (2009) by Dragana J — 15 Feb 2010
I was hoping that this movie would have some sort of supernatural twist involving hell in it since the word "hell" is highlighted in the title, but my hopes were shattered. This movie has nothing supernatural or special about it.
It begins well with a well shot and bloody shootout accompanied by a funny voiceover by Thomas Jane, but then just gets worse. All the characters in it seem ripped right out of better movies and the plot plods along without any sense of urgency or suspense.
Most of the acting in the movie is pretty bad, but Thomas Jane and Ving Rhames do what they can with their shallow characters and manage to make it a bit better. In the end this movie could have been pretty good if the story had been given an overhall and more action had been added.
