It has been a rough year for comedies so far, however Girls Trip hopefully is a turnaround point for 2017. The Hangover series has produced some bleak copies as of late, and this is the summers third attempt at a run with the ladies.

There are some good laughs here, but mostly because of some seriously raunchy stuff. Otherwise, some of the regular jokes just get chuckles. This movie likely resonates with women more then men I would think, but as I have always said, funny is funny.

I'd say this flick is about 20 minutes too long, as you know where it is going from the very beginning. However, there are enough funny parts to get it to the end. Guys, this is a more then tolerable date night flick for you and your significant other if you don't mind the R rating.
