You can definitely say that this was one of the more cheesy 80s films, but it was cute and I would even go as far to say 'fluffy'.
Seeing this film brought back such a flood of memories of the original tv series "Dance Party USA" aired on the USA Network. It also reminded me of my big crush on one the dancers-turned-host Bobby Catalano who was known for always wearing his sunglasses and his gravely voice. (Enough I googled/imdb'd/wikipedia'd him!!).
