I wouldn't exactly describe this as a rom-com as its not in the least bit mushy and romantic, but I guess that adds a touch of realism to proceedings. The writers have obviously tried to give this movie a kooky feel but it just makes it feel a bit disjointed and messy.

I usually love Janeane Garofolo but she was a little annoying in this one. You end up feeling sorry for her long-suffering boyfriend Kris Holden-Ried and wonder why he bothers with her at all. Nicolas Wright added a much needed bit of humour as Ethan.
