Review of Girl with a Pearl Earring (2003) by Johanna A — 10 Feb 2008

This is one of those movies that has hardly any spoken words, but speaks so much. Scarlett Johansson's acting was very well done, but irritated me. She hesitated overly before doing anything and it bugged me.

The movie's setting was wonderful and beautiful, but I failed to grasp the significance of the painting she was asked to be in. This movie is stark, but one of those periodical pieces that are a joy to watch.
