Review of Girl with a Pearl Earring (2003) by Des S — 22 Feb 2010

This book was written to give the painting a story, and did a good job of making the painting more interesting. The thing that I enjoyed the most was the subtle connection between Griet and Mr.Vermeer - It was like they were having an affair, or something forbidden, eventhough they barely touched hands.

I thoroughly enjoyed the movie, partly because I read the book first, and the film was very true to what I had imagined. Love Scarlett Johansson.
