Review of Girl, Interrupted (1999) by Danielle F — 20 Mar 2009

This is probably one of my favorite movies ever. Angelina jolie & Winona Ryders acting is phenomenal, however, Winona Ryder doesn't stand up to the powerful performance Angelina gives here. I have read the book as well but its impact on me was minimal in comparison to this movie. I love the supporting actresses as well especially Clea Duvall's character as well as the other girls in the ward.

I'm a huge fan of gritty, harsh, darker movies. This movie has some of the rawest emotion i've ever seen, especially in the last scenes in the underground passage ways.

All in all, I would recommend this movie to anyone and everyone. I've watched it countless times and will never get sick of it.
