Review of Girl, Interrupted (1999) by Theo M — 04 Apr 2010
An intense psychological drama that turns into a bit of a tearjerker in the end. In a sense, it's a female version of One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest with as one of the themes questioning the fine line between being sane and being crazy, and who decides on what side of the line you are.
Still, at the end acceptance of and control over her Borderline Personality Disorder puts the heroine on track again. After an interruption of her life for more than a year she can leave the mental institution and return to her former existence.
