Review of Girl, Interrupted (1999) by Kevin M — 22 Mar 2012

An enjoyable film that was dragged down by its disappointing final act. The film's theme starts off as being one of a kind: a girl finds light in a place where light is seemingly impossible to find.

But unfortunately, the ending completely changes that into a girl who thought she was crazy but got over it. Angelina Jolie's performance was very good and I didn't think Winona Ryder was bad either.

The film has likeable characters and is an interesting character study. The only flaw was the ending, if not for that it would have been amazing.
