Review of Girl, Interrupted (1999) by Don S — 06 Jul 2012
The acting is awesome - a couple notches above most movies. The story is the weak link here. It takes too long to tell; lots of down time with nothing happening. While it is mildly interesting, it is not emotionally gripping.
I didn't become attached to the characters. Even in the saddest, most emotionally charged scenes, I pretty much felt nothing. I don't place the blame on the actors. They worked with what they were given.
