Review of Girl in Progress (2012) by Russell H — 14 Oct 2012

I was impressed at how light the director was able to make these very difficult issues. The story touches on some very sad and hard things but dose so in a way that is not all depressing and sad like I see a lot.

It was upbeat and fun movie but there were a lot of serious moments. Strong child role taking life into her own hands. I also liked the idea of a someone making their own coming-of-age story. The idea that our destining is what we make it.

The story taught the importance of family and also the importance of responsibility.
