Review of Girl 27 (2007) by Michael G — 07 Mar 2011
Interesting documentary about a young girl in 1937 who dared to take on MGM studios in one of the most stunning scandalous legal cases of the day- and the price she paid to do so. A bit self serving at times, and a bit long (this is a 40 minute story dragged out to an hour and a half).
Yet if you don't know the story of Patricia Douglas, and you probably don't since MGM spent 65 years attempting to cover it up- then you should watch. DVD and netflix streaming. 3 stars.
