A film that earnestly attempts to stay true to its source material. And when your source material is "Gin Tama", one of the most eccentrically creative and original manga/animes in Japanese history-- it works out very well.
The film is both comedically excellent and visually stunning. Highly recommended for fans of sci-fi, action, anime, futurism, and comedic timing that transcends international sensibilities.
