Review of Ginger Snaps (2000) by Scott M — 11 Mar 2011
I have no idea why, but I have an irrational love of Ginger Snaps. Ginger Snaps manages not to fall into the same clichés as most teen horror films, and I dare say it is quite intelligent. The plot makes use of the changes every teen goes through and integrates them with the changes of gradually becoming a werewolf. What is not to love?
Kris Lemche is excellent, despite his small amount of screentime. Emily Perkins also offers a solid performance. The script is fast paced, with enough blood to remain credible. Overall, a pleasant suprise in the genre and one not to be missed.
