Review of Ginger Snaps (2000) by Johnny R — 02 May 2010
A strange, but a tremendously good thriller that does not skimp on the blood and gore. But the film's quality stems not just on the effects and are not in the ordinary teen-slash genre, the story is about teenagers.
The environment of the suburban and the school breathe "no future", which is understandable, easy to see why the sisters in the movie, theirs behavior. When a werewolf suddenly enters the picture, it leads to disastrous effect. Comfortable enough to escape digital transformation scenes, and despite the low budget, you get to it anyway with other cinematic and easier grip. Only the great transformation, physical and mental, yes ... even sexual, as Katherine Isabelle gradually undergoes in the film before the next full moon period is scary enough.
