Review of Ginger Snaps (2000) by Bradford D — 02 Apr 2011
I love the subversive use of lycanthropy as a metaphor for puberty. The 1st half of the flick is awesome. Then the director remembers he has a SFX budget and tries to use every penny of it during the 2nd act.
Ginger Snaps was a good movie that devolved into standard horror cliche`s. Worth watching, but don't set your expectations based on the beginning.
