Review of Gilda (1946) by Aline D — 21 Aug 2008
When I saw Gilda, Gilda was who I wanted to become, and the film was the life I wanted to be in. Luckily I changed my mind later on in life. The queen of all film noirs, no noir dame can ever play it-or them- better than Hayworth did.
The ideal combination of 'tristesse', sensuality, bitchiness , intelligence and seduction.
