Review of Gigi (1958) by Joanna G — 04 Jul 2008
Possibly the second best Musical of all time... At least in my heart, anyway.
I have a (possibly unhealthy) problem with My Fair Lady and An American In Paris, which springs from the both of them being consistently rated so much higher than Gigi... I'm resentful of both of them because of it.
Gigi is so interesting because none of the principals can even really sing... And it's Vincente Minnelli... And it's Paris... What more can you want?
