It's the kind of movie we need with all the negativity in the media. A story about unconventional family. What is normal anyways? The moments we spend with the people we love are all we have in the end.
You get so invested in the characters that you don't tend to over analyze other aspects of the plot.
To each his own, but my assumption is if you don't or didn't like this movie you may be quite cynical.
