An epic love story that inspired the TV show, Dallas as well as the film There Will Be Blood.
James Dean plays Jett Rink (JR) an accomplished oil man who despite his fortune, never feels adequate enough amongst the Benedict clan led by Rock Hudson.
Dennis hopper appears in an early role.
James Dean died before ADR could be finished in his closing scene so actor Nick Adams dubbed it for him.
