Review of Giant (1956) by Dan P — 04 Mar 2010
George Stevens' sprawling epic may be, as a whole, a bloated melodrama, but it does have some strong, classic moments. The pacing is uneven, and it does take some effort to get through it massive running time - but strong performances and a compelling story keep it going.
A classic, but not quite the masterpiece of its reputation.
