Everyone saw the Beauty no one the Pain.
Before watching this film, I knew nothing of Gia Marie Carangi except I once asked a Friend if Gia is based upon a real story. She said yes, and I should watch it ASAP. The performance of Angelina Jolie is just extraordinary. It is very touching. I can understand why Angelina Jolie rejected the role at first, fearing the role could effect her private life, but the producers stayed tough and finally won Angelina Jolie for the role of Gia at last.
