Review of Gia (1998) by Sharmae D — 02 Mar 2009
It's a true story? Yet it has the structure of a classical Hollywood drama: a young girl goes to the big city to become famous, falls in love, rises to fame, struggles with her lover (who is a woman - spicing it up a lot), becomes addicted to drugs, decays and eventually dies.
But this well-known story is presented in an entertaining and touching way by great actors. Also visually, this movie is a big win. It wasn't boring for a second. And Angelina Jolie is so beautiful you want to cry.
