Review of G.I. Joe: Retaliation (2013) by Noel A — 07 Sep 2013

I didn't go into this one with high expectations like I did the first, cuz I was kinda too hype for the first one. Now, I think that was the best approach to this one. I liked it for the action and the one guy that never lets you down, SNAKE EYES!!! The scenes with him in it were the best scenes in the whole movie.

Outside of Snake Eyes though, the movie was lacking something. My cousin says that it lacks all the characters that they killed off (lol) but I think it was something else...that I can't quite put my finger on.

Maybe there was too much stuff going on. Maybe there wasn't enough of the original in it, i.e. Marlon Wayans, the other white chick, that really tech savvy dude...etc. I just felt like it needed more.

Now, with all that said, it was still a pretty decent action flick. But I must say that this one is not worth paying that extra for 3D or IMAX. I'm kinda on the fence about this one though folks. I personally say it's worth matinee price, but you have to go into it with no high expectations.

If you were hoping for them to do better than the first....it's not. They're pretty much on the same level. As always, I hope this helps!!
