Review of G.I. Jane (1997) by Rajneel S — 06 Jun 2008
Strongly made military-training drama dressed with faux-feminist leanings makes for a poor social statement, but is a fantastic film about the Navy SEALS. The film's feminist agenda is pointless, ineffective and gives rise to some very bad scenes, but after the first 30 minutes the movie actually takes off and becomes pretty fantastic.
Not as bad as people make it out to be, but only if you can stomach its low-points.
