Review of G.I. Jane (1997) by Senthil M — 07 Jul 2008
I tend to like movie scenes that depict military training (like the 1st hour of "Full Metal Jacket" or the Pei Mei sequence in "Kill Bill Vol 2"); 95% of this film is all about showing Navy SEAL training, so in that regard the movie was pretty interesting to watch.
The story and writing is nothing stellar but its good enough to sustain the film. Demi Moore is pretty good as the title character, but the most memorable performance/character has to go to Viggo Mortensen's role.
There are other Ridley Scott movies that I like more than this, but this movie overall is decent and a recommended watch.
