I had low expectations going into this but found myself really, really enjoying it. Michael Douglas and Emma Stone absolutely stole the movie but it was a cute, funny twist on Dickens that is definitely worth checking out.
Is McConaughey breaking any new ground here? Not hardly. His "A Time To Kill" days are long gone, that's for sure. Jennifer Garner was more edgy than girl-next-door, which I thought was a nice change of pace for her.
She really is a good actress who has been in a rom/com retread rut.
