Review of Ghosts of Girlfriends Past (2009) by Valerie P — 27 Apr 2010
I strongly dislike Matthew McConaughey already, so it was easy to be disgruntled with his character. The beginning of the film drags a bit. After awhile I was saying to myself, "Okay, I get it, he's a jerk!".
The movie really takes off when he has his first "visitation". Then the Dickenesque tale plays out in a fun and quirky way, showing him how awful he has been to women and how he'd missed his one chance with the girl of his dreams.
A wedding movie unlike any other, this film will amuse you - at least the first time around.
