Review of Ghosts of Girlfriends Past (2009) by Gii B — 25 Jul 2010
Ehh, it was an okay sex comedy. Ghosts of Girlfriends Past like the sex version of A Christmas Carol, which for me is not okay. This film is like mocking the christmas classic. The movie did have an interesting cast, including Emma Stone from Superbad and Zombieland, Michael Douglas from Wall Street, Breckin Meyer from Road Trip, and the beautiful Noureen DeWulf from The Comebacks.
With a fantastic cast with the film, it has a bad storyline. Like I said before, this is a mock up sex version of A Christmas Carol that involves cheesy effects, lines, and some acting. On the bright side, it is pretty funny, especially Michael Douglas.
There are some touching moments in the movie towards the end, but no spoilers. I really don't have a worst scene but if I had to choose, it would be when Connor was making out with a girl he just photographed.
my best scene would be when Emma Stone's character was eating popcorn while watching Connor's love montage. Ghost of Girlfriends Past is an okay comedy that adds mockery, sex, and women to a classic that does not deserve to be mocked of.
