Review of Ghosts of Girlfriends Past (2009) by Sylvester K — 02 Dec 2011
Ghosts of Girlfriends Past is modernized version of a Christmas Carol. A womanizing Connor Mead is lead by ghosts to observe girlfriends from his past, present, and future. Much like Scrooge, Connor realizes that he has been leading a cheap, shallow, and selfish life. The whole exercise leads him to change his lifestyle and everyone pretty much lives happily ever after.
Ghosts was a bit better than expected. Michael Douglas was funny in his role. McConaughey was charming enough to succeed in his role as the bachelor gone wild. There are a few laughs and the story had just enough originality in it to keep it interesting.
