Review of Ghosts Don't Exist (2010) by Jay X — 03 Feb 2011
This is one of those ghost stories you probably aren't going to watch with the lights out... because you're likely to fall asleep! Ploddingly slow, with an hour and fifteen minutes worth of set-up for a pay-off that's not even close to being worth that much of an investment of your time.
The acting, writing and direction are all mediocre at their best. Boring, maudlin stuff destined for the penny bin, as much B-grade soap opera as it is a supernatural thriller. The chills don't exist, either.
If you must see for yourself, make sure to have some strong coffee at hand. It's "Ghost" meets valium.
