Review of Ghostbusters (2016) by Filippo S — 31 Jan 2017
A worthy addition to the franchise. The comic timing of the leads - all of them, but especially Kate McKinnon and Kristen Wiig - is flawless. The first half of the movie is actually better because it focuses on situations and reactions.
The second half, which gets into the mayhem and weird weapons stuff, seems a bit too contrived. Also, it seemed that a lot of bits were relegated to the credits that might have helped the movie along - like the Big Dance Number.
Still, highly enjoyable. I'd recommend it to anyone who likes schtick comedies.
