Review of Ghostbusters (2016) by Geoffrey C — 19 Mar 2017
Comedy depends on timing and wit. This movie has neither. Two of the leads have some talent, but they never gel; instead, they compete with one another. Chris Hemsworth actually outshines them all in terms of individual performance.
This is unfortunate since his character is only supposed to be in support. A touch of mean spiritedness (heh, heh) also dampens the fun, unlike the 1984 version's charm and heart. Don't waste your time, watch the original again instead.
