Review of Ghostbusters (1984) by The Critic ( — 16 May 2013
This quirky, cleverly scripted spookfest is such an entertaining ride, featuring great special effects that include a scene-stealing Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man. It's grounded by top-notch performances from Bill Murray (replacing John Belushi), Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis and Ernie Hudson as the titular poltergeist-hunting team, with an excellent, charming contribution from Sigourney Weaver as well as a fun turn from Rick Moranis. (Annie Potts as the Ghostbusters' secretary and William Atherton as their adversary from the EPA are also well-worth mentioning.).
