Review of Ghostbusters (1984) by Danny O — 03 Feb 2015

Ghostbusters is a very entertaining movie. The premise, though entirely silly, is very unique and interesting. The movie is occasionally quite funny, and makes for a highly amusing watch. Bill Murray has the best lines, an he is great in the movie.

The effects are dated, but aren't that bad for an early 80's movie. The characters aren't given enough backstory though, and the plot could have been better. Some of the effects are for sure very dated.

But this movie is clever, inventive, and has so many iconic and memorable scenes. It' a great time, well paced, and clever, while also being plenty re-watchable. Ghostbusters gets 4/5 stars (B+).
