Review of Ghostbusters (1984) by John H — 24 Dec 2012
Despite its flashes of brilliance (Marshmallow Man, anyone?), this would be just a conventional effects comedy if it weren't for the chemistry of the Ghostbusters themselves. Ackroyd and Ramis are constantly funny, but the film belongs to Bill Murray and that deadpan sleazeball Peter Venkman, whose unfazed responses to some really bizarre paranormal activity is a comedy gift that keeps on giving.
