Review of Ghostbusters (1984) by Jon P — 13 Jun 2013

Thanks to Bill Murray, Dan Ackroyd, goofy ghost gizmos and a 100ft Marshmallow Man, Ivan Reitman's adored 80s classic makes for big, dumb fun for the whole family. The special effects haven't aged well and the film's garish gags rarely strike the funny bone, but its nonsensical narrative still holds the power to capture hearts, and although Ghostbusters isn't exactly the greatest of silly Sci-Fi flicks, it still ranks high amongst the most entertaining.
