Review of Ghostbusters (1984) by Lewis E — 21 Mar 2014
Never saw it properly as a wee youngster which was a shame because I think I would have enjoyed it a lot more back then. I think I have outgrown the excitement of paranormal activity in movies, especially with all the technological advances on CGI aliens and monsters we've experienced in cinema since the 1980s.
In respect of this, the special effects in this now look terrible and certainly fail the test of time. Furthermore, the finale on top of the building is very rushed and probably represents one of the worse scenes in the movie.
However, I can appreciate 'Ghostbusters' for its time while the charisma of Bill Murray and quirkiness of Rick Moranis ensure you have at least some fun.
