Review of Ghost World (2001) by Gabriel K — 18 Aug 2008
This one surprised me. It came highly recommended from a former friend, and it sounded like something I would love. I didn't. I absolutely freaking hating it. I didn't care about the main characters at all, since they are far too self-absorbed and, to be frank, bitchy to be likeable.
I felt sorry for Steve Buscemi's character, but even that sympathy was lost in how utterly creepy the "romance" was. Maybe I just don't get it, but I'm glad I don't. Terrible.
