Review of Ghost World (2001) by Amanda W — 26 Sep 2008
I think there are movies that are supposed to define a generation. That speak to a way a group of people talked, a way they acted and lived. This movie was supposed to do that, I think, for the 1990's. And while mostly all I did in the 90's was be born, I still think they were maybe a little more interesting than this movie.
The acting was basic, the dialogue stilted, and the characters were just kind of obnoxious. I guess this was supposed to represent real life, but in reality it was just boring to watch. It was only funny occasionally. Steve Buscemi was good, everyone else was just kind of basic.
