Review of Ghost World (2001) by Sean R — 08 Oct 2012
There's so much to love about this movie that it's hard to really know where to start. The need to be different, but to fit in; to be creative, but to be understood; to grow up, but be a child at heart; to be loved by others, but to be left alone.
Enid doesn't know who she is, or what she wants. She tries to be all that she can be but has difficulty coming to terms with what that may or may not be. The great frustration that comes with growing up is examined under a cynical lens and in the end you just feel like getting on a bus and leaving the world behind.
