Review of Ghost World (2001) by Dr. F P — 10 Aug 2013
Ghost World has just the same vibe as the comic and I thought Thora Birch was perfect as Enid. I don't know what to say! I thought Steve Buscemi played a great part, and I love the whole "these weirdos and creeps are our people" type thing going on.
Some parts were particularly funny so much that I laughed out loud. The story goes along at a good pace and I just love all of the diners and the styling of Seymour's 'record room' and Enid's bedroom too.
I don't know, there's just this vibe throughout that I can kind of relate to. Some characters remind me of old school friends and such...so it was kind of funnier. The ending was particularly interesting, how it was so simple but sad too, it kind of leaves you thinking.
