Good stuff...

This one was cetainly better than the SYNOPSIS on this page indicates and should be given a chance.

**** Hey "SYNOPSIS DUDE"... it's a SYNOPSIS... not a review! If you don't know the difference between the two, how can I take your opinion or "synopsis" seriously....?

Anyway...

All the players here do a great job and Alice Krige is one creepy bitch. The effects were better than average for 1981.

The problem with watching older horror movies (if you've never seen them before...) is that it probably won't seem all that original.

It's a real paradox, since the earlier film is obviously the "original"... but since you've had the better part of the last 20 years to watch every other horror movie that's come along... it's tough to find many genuine scares...

But they are here...

The framing and lighting in this film are very well done and the twilight lighting sets a terrific mood for the finale which sadly.... you'll all see coming a mile away.

I liked this one...

I know, I know... "The book is better"...

Enough with THAT old chestnut already! When has that ever NOT been the case? That's why "this" is the movies.... and "that" is the written word.

There's gonna be a difference. Get over it!
