Review of Ghost Ship (2002) by Deb S — 22 Feb 2010
Set in 1962 aboard a fictional Italian ocean liner named the Antonio Graza, passengers gather for a night of dancing and song when a freak accident (or was it?), causes a tension wire to snap. In the blink of an eye, the metal wire cuts through the patrons (literally), splitting the high class elite in two like a knife through butter. In shock and horror a little girl screams as she watches each passenger fall to the ground in a pool of body parts and blood.
Years later, a crew of salvagers discover the ship floating over international waters and realize it is the.
The Italian luxury liner that has been missing since 1962.They soon realize that the ship is haunted by the spirits of those whom had perished on the ship.
Ghost Ship never bores you as the special effects are far too splendid. It's twisted but kept my attention and surprised me.The problem is that the story goes in many different directions and none of them are very interesting.
