Review of Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance (2011) by Emelyn W — 16 Feb 2013
Ghost Rider: Spirit Of Vengeance is truly disgraceful.
Nicolas Cage reprises his role as Johnny Blaze in Ghost Rider Spirit Of Vengeance. Johnny is still struggling with his curse as the devil's bounty hunter, but he may risk everything as he teams up with the leader of a group of rebel monks to save a young boy from the devil and possibly rid himself of his curse forever.
How in the world can you screw up the same thing twice. I can see how Ghost Rider isn't Marvel's best work, but the first film wasn't good either so why ruin it even more by doing a sequel that's even worse then the first one. The action is lame, the script is just completely messed up and the acting is terrible.
Nic Cage has proven to me that his acting career is never gonna get any better because firstly he isn't even good at acting, everything has to whispered or shouted in anger. Secondly he has made some of the worst movies in history. Idris Elba is a side character in this and he isn't convincing one bit and I like him actually alot.
This has to be a failure of comic book movie adaption. Everything seems to not make one bit of sense at all. I would really like it if Nic Cage could make a well made movie.
