Review of Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance (2011) by Tim S — 31 Mar 2013
I have to admit that I haven't seen the original Ghost Rider movie since its original release, and I didn't enjoy it at all when I did see it. So it was with reluctance that I saw the sequel: Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance.
I can't say that I really enjoyed the film, as most of it is pretty mundane, but I was interested in seeing it because it was directed by the guys who made the Crank movies, both of which I enjoyed.
It's not an altogether terrible film. It has a serviceable plot, but of course it stars Nicolas Cage, who's a pretty terrible actor. There isn't much in the way of coolness overall, but there is some unintentionally funny moments sprinkled in there to warrant a watch or two.
The style is what I expected, and the movie overall wasn't much, but I expected a less than mediocre movie with some style, and that's pretty much what it is.
