Review of Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance (2011) by Jose C — 26 Jun 2013
You wouldn't expect for a Marvel Movie to have the intense Direction of Neveldine/Taylor. The same guys who brought you the bat shit insane Crank Movies. Yeah, you can make superhero movies now go back to make a violent intensely edited film. But Im not saying this film is bad as this film has some good moments. Ghost Rider: Spirit Of Vengeance is the sequel I have been waiting for a long time. Its notably the first of the Marvel Knights brand of films which centers around dark heros such as The Punisher and others. Nicolas Cage is back again as he freaks out more as Johnny Blaze as he is on a mission to protect a mother and son who are being chased by the devil's minions. Although most performences are predictable in this film, Idris Elba is the one who is the best in the film. CG is not to bad for the most part. An average script. But it doesn't live up to expectations and I thought It would be alot better. While not the best superhero film ever made, it sure proves that N+T can make a average superhero film.
71/100 B-.
