Review of Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance (2011) by Danny O — 09 Sep 2014
Ghost Rider Spirit of Vengeance is thinly scripted and ridiculous. The story telling is horrific, with gaping plot holes and some poor editing. The acting ranges from ok to bad, and Nicholas Cage continues to be over the top.
The movie just make no sense, and it doesn't help that we don't care about these characters at all. It's extremely predictable and cliché. The script is perhaps the weakest link in this mess of a movie.
There some really stupid lines spoken that couldn't have possibly made it to the final draft (peeing fire, really?) There are some fun action sequences, but that's all I can commend in this terrible sequel.
Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance gets 1/5 stars (D).
