Review of Ghost in the Shell (2017) by Lee H — 11 Apr 2017

I was a little disappointed in this as I had high hopes from the trailer. It's not bad, just not great. The effects look great and the design of the film from the characters to their environment are all very effective and interesting in a world where it's common place for people to have various cybernetic enhancements.

The story is a little simple and fairly predictable (I'm wasn't familiar with the original 90's animated film, but could tell what was going to happen). This is a film which has most of the parts in place but it just fails to bring it all together.

It's watchable but nothing special. ?????? out of 5.
