Review of Ghost in the Shell (2017) by Merton C — 15 Apr 2017
As a standalone action sci-fi film, Ghost in the Shell does alright. But considering the fact that the movie is an adaption of a famous and beloved anime, the movie have to be held up to higher standards.
The film loses most of the impact of the original due to the casting and premise but somewhat makes up for it in compelling performances from the actors and impressive CGI. There are far too many mediocre anime adaptions and sadly Ghost in the Shell is one of them.
